Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII
Written by EPK
Monday, 19 May 2008

It's about time we had another game review around here, so I stopped playing Crisis Core (for the second time in a row) long enough to write a review of it. Well, not so much a review as incoherent gushing.

Warning: there may be spoilers here if you have never played/watched any of the Final Fantasy VII storyline, ever.

Two New Reviews
Written by EPK
Sunday, 09 March 2008

Two new updates today. We have it on good authority that the apocalypse is coming soon.

I'm coming down off that strange high you get when you spend 9.787343279 hours fighting with a weird Javascript problem that won't let you update and then, just when you think you've tried everything, you finally stumble upon the one, weird bit of voodoo that works. In the wake of this comes the two updates that spawned the fight in the first place. First, I haven't written a book review in eons, so I wrote five. They're short, but there are still five. You can read them here.

Second, our good friend Rickycat has blessed us with his review of the video game Thief: The Dark Project.

Last, I'm sure most of you noticed the update from last week , but there it is again anyway.

There's even a new poll (apocalypse commencing in 5... 4... 3...)

The 11 Most Annoying Online Personalities

Most people on the internet are normal people. They are not stalkers, rapists, or pedophiles, but rather porn-obsessed bestiality fetishists. I'm kidding. Most often, they're regular joes like you or me who like the convenience and social interaction the internet provides. However, anyone who has been active in any kind of online community will notice that there are certain types of neurotic weirdos who pop up again and again, no matter where you go. When you find yourself thinking "fuck, I can't believe how dumb people are", these are usually the people you're thinking about. Although people do behave like uninformed cretins outside of the internet, the World Wide Web seems to have a special power that transforms most categories of dumb into a series of predictable, oft-repeated categories. Most often, we find that the general anonymity of certain types of online activities either magnifies certain personality traits that a person might otherwise hide, or allows them to become more aggressive, antagonistic, or stupid because nobody really knows who they are and they feel they can get away with it. Furthermore...

Well, yeah. That's all I can come up with. This isn't an essay. This is making fun of stupid people. Enjoy, and laugh at the expense of your fellow man. You know it's the right thing to do.
